Today's rambling: Getting somewhere?

Mike invited me out to dinner tonight 'cause his usual dinner partner is up in Canada for the weekend and he hates eating alone...like me. So we met down in the student center and had an oh-so-wonderful dinner of breaded chicken sandwiches. XP Actually, it was really cool eating with him. He's a funny guy, and I'd definitely like to hang out with him more often! He invited me to go see "American Wedding" with him and Carley, so I figured, "What the heck? Not like I have anything else to do!"

I'm not so sure that Carley likes me, lol, which is kinda ironic since she was my top choice for Bigs when we had to make our Top 3 list (way back when). Actually, it's not that I think she really DISlikes me, I dunno...she just doesn't seem to like me quite as much as the others. :P But maybe it's only because she doesn't know me that well yet! I can't click with 'em all as quickly as I did with Mike, hehe! He's still all enthusiastic about my journal, lol...He was saying that all of the others were just like, "We did this, and then we did this, blah blah," but I actually made mine interesting. Hehe, he mentioned the one entry where I was like "Tonight's activity was full of puzzles, skipping, and strange men...wait, that sounds like the making of a bad porno, let me start over..." He apparently read over that line several times. See, he wants me. LOL! I'm definitely kidding.

Hmmm, I actually almost got somewhere with Geoff tonight! Unfortunately, it was all via IM, so I couldn't press the issue as much as I might have had we been talking face-to-face...but strangely enough, the opportunity completely presented itself, so look what went down:

Amber: Oo! I'm going to get to hang out with you at some point during my Thanksgiving break, right?
Geoff: sure if you want to
Amber: Why wouldn't I? You know I'm obsessed with you. ;-)
Geoff: yaaaaaaah
Amber: LOL...you're probably the only person who can be told that someone likes him without actually making any kind of a reaction over it. Which is probably a good thing, since I'd be crushed to hear you say, "Shut up, I don't like you." :P
Geoff: yaaaaaaaaaaaah
Geoff: lol
Amber: Pbbbbbttttttttt
Geoff: im light and glossy at times huh?
Amber: Selectively
Geoff: lets face it im annoying
Amber: Since when? I'd have moved on if I thought you were, lol!
Geoff: since 7:30
Amber: *shakes head*
Geoff: lol
Amber: LOL...I should've chosen a different medium for all this talk, but at least on IM I don't have to worry about you looking at me like I'm crazy :-P
Geoff: im looking at you like youre kooky -theres a difference lol
Amber: Is there really? Hehehe
Geoff: lol
Amber: Well, I suppose that's one of my quirky charms, heehee
Geoff: why of course
Amber: And frankly, who wouldn't want me? I know you do, but you just suppress the urge to act on those feelings. lol
Geoff: like all feelings lol

I suppose it doesn't really look like anything was accomplished. But it's certainly more than we usually talk about on that subject!

I believe I'll have to pursue this topic the next time I see him. I think he's finally coming round. LOL! The sad part is, it doesn't even really look like he is! But I've never actually tried to talk to him seriously about the subject since that time at the bar when I first told him I liked him, so maybe that's all I need to do. Here's to hoping, anyway! If he keeps being all evasive, I'm going to turn my attentions to someone who openly admires and appreciates me! ;)

Anyway, that's all I feel like talking about tonight. I've been using Kristen's computer all night, and even though she's going to bed now, I still feel bad, hehe!
